Ultra-slim

Measuring at 18mm thin, the K5’s thin aluminum body has a slight incline at the base to provide maximum ergonomic support. Compared to other mechanical keyboards, it requires less force, less travel distance to reduce finger fatigue, and provides more typing comfortability.

Compatible with All Devices

With just a slide of a button on the side panel, you can multitask without missing a beat by connecting the K5 with up to 3 devices via Bluetooth 5.1 and switch between your laptop, tablet and phone seamlessly. You can also connect the K5 to your computer with a type-c cable.

K5 Layout

Compatible for both macOS and Windows. Keychron is one of only a few in the market that comes with a Mac multimedia keys layout for Mac enthusiasts (Check high-res keycap layout and size here).

Full Size

Comes with a 104 key full size layout included number pad that offers convenient access to all the essential keys* for Mac and Windows included the dedicated Screenshot Key, Siri (Cortana) Key.

Classic clicky tactile or quicker response, for office or personal gaming, the Gateron low profile is the way to choose.

Low-Profile Optical

With the MX-styled stem housing and 0.2 ms ultra-low latency, these light actuated switches are crafted for typists or gamers who want to type at lightning speed with a 70 million lifespan much greater than industry standards.

The Banana and Mint switches comes with an early tactile bump of every downstroke like those Panda switches, that’s the main difference between the Banana/Mint and the Brown switch. More add-on switches here.

*Low Profile Keychron Optical version keyboards is NOT compatible with any Low Profile Gateron mechanical switch, vice versa.

Very happy

I bought a K4 last year and never really fell in love with it. It was my first mechanical and I liked a lot of aspects of it, but it wasn't something I gravitated to for typing. I tried the Logitech G915 in a store and loved it, but not the price. I kept waiting for the K5 to come in stock, and thankfully it finally did. I picked up the optical blue switch version and absolutely love it. It has just the right about of click and actuation force for me to enjoy typing on it for hours. It is very rigid due to the metal body. My only gripe is that it doesn't have any height adjustment. No big deal. I added some taller rubber feet I had lying around. I highly recommend it for typists wanting the mechanical feel and function without the huge key height of traditional. I'll be buying another one for my wife soon.

Worth waiting

Always wanted a low profile full sized mechanical keyboard. Waited a few months for this, its worth the wait. Good build and nice typing on it.

Typing Feels Amazing

I'd primarily been using Apple's Magic Keyboard but wanted something mechanical while still being low-profile (and full-sized) so the K5 seemed like a perfect fit. I've been using it for about a month now and it feels great. The mechanical brown switches feel tactile while not being too loud, and it makes me wish I had more things to type because it just feels that fun to use. Battery life is also good with about 2 weeks before it needs to be recharged (LEDs are off most of the time).

The one minor downside is the keyboard is completely flat with no built-in adjustable feet. The angle of the keys felt like too much of an adjustment and I had to buy a separate keyboard riser to attach to the back of the keyboard. Once that was attached though then everything felt great.

qualitatively very good keyboard, unfortunately, there is no German version was so sold on ebay, though appeared to the German version before changing my current keypad happily pile k5 again
